Why we exist
Many barriers are difficult—not permanent.
People and locally owned businesses often encounter important financial, employment, benefit, funding, and growth decisions without clear information or a trusted place to begin. The Unbound Initiative exists to make those decisions easier to understand and the next steps easier to reach.
Our role is educational and connective. We provide practical learning opportunities, support people as they identify realistic goals, and refer participants to qualified community organizations when needs fall outside our scope.
Our mission
The Unbound Initiative equips individuals, families, entrepreneurs, and locally owned small businesses—especially those facing systemic or economic barriers—with practical financial education, workforce support, entrepreneurship guidance, funding-readiness assistance, and connections to public and community resources. Through these efforts, we help people build stability, help small businesses create and preserve opportunity, and promote lasting economic mobility and community growth.

How we serve
We use workshops, educational materials, funding-readiness support, resource navigation, guided conversations, and community referrals to help people and small businesses move from uncertainty toward a practical plan.

Our work is designed for working adults, families, aspiring entrepreneurs, and locally owned businesses—particularly those facing economic barriers, serving distressed communities, or seeking to create and preserve local employment.
