Nonprofit independence
The Unbound Initiative is a separate nonprofit corporation. It does not operate for the private benefit of any related business or individual.
Educational programs, small-business assistance, and community referrals are designed around charitable purposes and documented participant or community needs. A participant is not required to purchase a product or use a particular commercial provider to receive nonprofit information or assistance.
Business assistance is provided under objective, mission-based eligibility standards. The organization does not promise grants, loans, contracts, revenue, or approval by any public or private program. Assistance is intended to advance community economic stability; any private benefit to a participating business must remain incidental to that public purpose.
The Unbound Initiative and Unbound Wealth Co. are legally and operationally separate. The nonprofit does not require or steer participants to Unbound Wealth Co., does not provide it exclusive access to participants, and does not share participant information without specific consent. Any related-party matter must be disclosed and reviewed by disinterested directors.
Some directors have family relationships. Directors are expected to disclose relevant personal and financial interests, and interested directors must not participate in decisions concerning their own compensation or related-party arrangements.
Charitable funds are controlled by the nonprofit and must be used for its exempt purposes.
